Open Data Albania has analyzed Albania’s exports by destination during the years 2010-2012. The report is based on data published from INSTAT (Albanian Institute of Statistics). Exports represent the monetary value of all goods/services sold/committed abroad. Ranked by value, the main destination of Albania’s exports remains Italy (51% in 2012), followed by Spain (9%), Kosovo (8%), Turkey (6%) and Greece (4%).

According to the data, exports to Italy represent over 50% of the total. Also data show a significant increase in exports to Spain and Kosovo, while exports to Greece have been decreasing. Other countries like Turkey, Germany, Serbia, Montenegro, Austria, Netherlands and France (which represent the other countries in the top ten export destinations) have been staying almost constant by weight during 2010-2012.

During 2011, the biggest increase in exports has been in Serbia and Montenegro (65%), while during 2012 the biggest increase has been in Spain (181%). Also the biggest decrease of exports in 2011 has been in France (-31%), while in 2012 has been in Serbia and Montenegro (-35%).
