Open Data Albania has researched the registration of business company?s entities and other economic entities founded to exert their activity in Albanian territory in 2015. The analysis also takes under consideration registrations and de-registrations during the past five years. The year 2015 is considered as a special one in this analysis because many of the registrations doesn?t comply directly with entities founded on this year. Some entities have been active even previously but were registered and equipped with TIN as a result of anti-informality campaign conducted by the tax administration in the country during the last five months of the year.

In 2015, a total of 39 650 of economic and commercial entities were registered. A total of 5323 entities were also deregistered during this year. This is the highest figure of registrations in the past five years. This figure is not too much due to a progress of economic activity, but to a progress of anti-informality campaign, which means registration of any entity with economic activity.

Increasing volume of economic entities in 2015 requires detailed comparative analysis in order to evaluate how this increase of registrations coincides with an initial growth of the economic activity in the country against the de jure registration as part of anti-informal action.
