[Period 24.01.2022 – 30.01.2022] Covid – 19 Situation with Vaccinations, Infections, and Mortality

Please find below an update on Albania’s situation with Covid-19, for the period 24.01.2022 – 30.01.2022, which AIS / Open Data Albania is providing. Find Data and Charts on Covid-19 updated on a daily basis at https://open.data.al/covid-19/

As per the last public statement, the number of Vaccinated in the country is:

–           Vaccination with 3 doses 196 998 Persons
–           Vaccination with 2 doses 1 100 416 Persons
–           Vaccination with the First Dose 1 206 700  Persons
–           In Percentage, it results that 38.88 % of the Population is Vaccinated with 2 doses.
–           In Percentage, it results that 46.58 % of the Population above 15 years is Vaccinated with 2 doses.

Indicators as of January 30^th, 2022, Infections, Hospitalizations and Fatalities:

–           New Cases for 24^th – 30^th January   9 951
–           People Testes 24^th – 30^th January    36 339

–           Number of Fatalities for last week, 23^rd – 30^th January – 37 (Reduction from the same period 24^th – 30^th January of the prior year.)

–           Number of active cases on 30^th January 2022 – 20 498
–           Hospitalization 30^th January 2022 – 168 (Reduction from same day 30^th January of the prior year.)
–           Total Number of Fatalities 3 342
–           Total Number of Infected People 258 021
–           Number of recovered patients (24^th – 30^th January) 13 497
–           Infected Number / Tested Number for 24^th – 30^th January – 27.3% (Reduction from the prior period)
–           Fatalities/Infected Ratio for 24^th – 30^th January – 0.37% (Increase from the prior period)
–           Hospitalized /Active cases as per 30^th January 2022– 0.81% (Increase from the prior period)
–           Total Population of Albania 2 829 741.
–           Population above 15 years 2 362 375.

The same week, 24^th – 30^th January, last year (24^th – 30^th January 2021) there were: 59 deaths, compared to that for the same week we have 22 fewer deaths in 2022. (This year we have a reduction from the same period prior year)
A total of 5810 new cases and 24062 tests for (24^th – 30^th January 2021). (This year we have an increase from the same period prior year)
Active on the 30^th January were 28955 people (24^th – 30^th January 2021). (This year we have a reduction from the same period prior year)
287 people were hospitalized on the 30^th January 2021.  (This year we have a reduction from the same day prior year)
Fatalities/Infected Ratio for 24^th – 30^th January 2021= 59/5810*100=1.01% (This year we have a reduction from the same period prior year)
