Analyzing the exports of the Russian Federation by product categorization, it emerges that fuels occupy the largest exports share in value. This also explains the fact that. immediately after the Russian aggression on Ukraine, the price of oil and other fuels rose in international markets. The global supply of fuels, in case of complete blockade against Russia will fall by over 10% of the overall international exports. This prediction should not be read in absolute terms, as there are countries that are not, presently, applying sanctions. Respectively in 2019, the Russian Federation has been the largest exporter in the World for fuels, accounting for 10.74% of the world total. In 2020, it was in third place with 8.85%, while in 2021 it is expected, when the data are published by all countries, that it will be back in the first places, as it has increased exports in value for fuels and fuels by 58.6% compared to 2020.
