Aranita Brahaj, the founding director of AIS – Open Data Albania – highlighted that the use of Artificial Intelligence also carries significant risks of misuse and corruption.

AIS is a civil society organization in Albania that leverages ICT to promote Good Governance and Civic Participation. As the promoter of Open Data Albania, the organization developed in 2014 a risk-assessment application for public tenders and issues weekly “red flag” alerts on Albanian Government tenders. AIS also monitors public procurement nationwide, including the process of aligning legislation and standards with those of the European Union (Cluster 1).
