Economic Damages in the Public Procurement Field during 2005-2010 reaches a total of 3,347 727,000 leke, and the highest loss belongs to 2007 and 2008, respectively with 883,471,000 lekë dhe 779,815,000 lekë, whereas the smallest loss was in 2010 with187,573,000 lekë. Economic damages in public procurement have gradually dcreased and are expected to decrease further even to a greater extent, as a result of the implementation of the electronic procurement starting from 21 January 2009.

The relationship between total economic damages and economic damages in public procurement is a direct one, with a correlation coefficient of 0.4. The greatest impact of the economic damages in public procurement in relation to total damages was in 2008, when this ratio was 19.27%, whereas the opposite took place in 2009 when this ratio was as low as 5.9%.
