State Supreme Audit objective is the compensation of economic abuses. The level of realization of the compensations shows the responsibility of the public administration managers in exercising the obligations undertaken. State Supreme Audit provides measures for compensating economic damages aiming the smooth of the economic abuses through the collection of cash from entities who have committed financial misconducts. Other measures are organizational and administrative ones aiming multidisciplinary improvements.

The recommended amount for compensation in 2005 was at the level of 94.5% of total economic damages, in 2006 the amount was at the level of 99.12% of total economic damages, in 2007 the amount was at the level of to 99.98% of total economic damages, while in 2008, 2009 and 2010 the recommended amounts for compensations have been at the level of 100%, meaning that all economic damages were recommended to be compensate.

The average ratio of the recommended compensation value to the actually compensated value for time period 2005-2010 is 42.82%. The lowest level of this ratio is in 2006, when only 15.22% of the damage was collected, whereas the highest level is in 2008 when 68% of the total damage was collected. In 2009-2010 the extent of the compensated economic damage was relatively constant at around 49%.
