Open date Albania conducted a research based on investigation results of two important bodies of civil society operating in the United States of America. ProPublika and Sunlight Foundation have investigated over foreign lobbyists’ payments in U.S.

In the framework of political parties’ transparency on costs and finances, Open Data Albania publishes the data of Foreign Lobbying Influence Tracker project for Albania. According to this investigation, in 2010, through a lobbying company, the Albanian Government has spent 825.000 USD for lobbying in the United States.

In total, Open Data Albania founds that the amount of money is more than fifteen payments, with the value of 55.000 USD each. The lobbying company is Patton Boggs. Meanwhile, the reasons for lobbying are various, from the bilateral relations to programs and financing for Albania.
