Open Data Albania has conducted a research regarding the exchange rates in the months of 2013. The research is based on the official data of the Bank of Albania. The fixing is the official exchange rate of some foreign currencies against the Albanian lek, which is represented by a single value, and published by the Bank of Albania. During 2013, one Euro was exchanged with an average of 140.26 lek, the US dollar with 105.66 lek, the British Pound has had an average value of 164.53 lek in 2013.

The two currencies which also mark multiple transactions in the local currency are the dollar and the euro. Throughout 2013 the dollar has had the greatest fluctuation, marking the lowest value in October where a dollar was exchanged with 103.27 lek, and the highest value in May, when a dollar was exchanged with 108.56 ALL. While the euro, has been more stable. It had the lowest value recorded in January with 139.48 lek and the highest one in May, with 140.89 all.
