Profits of Banks during 2008-2013

Open Data Albania has undertaken a research on the earnings performance of banks operating in Albania . The report detailed data from the Albanian Association of Banks, which collects data based on self- reporting banks, profits, deposits, loans, etc. Reports Albanian Association of Banks are under financial standards IFRS and may differ from those of the Central Bank that analyzes data banking system by another standard .

Banks have been able to increase their profits during 2013.  According to data from the Association of Banks of system profits increased 1 % during 2013 compared to a year ago . But they are still far from the level of 2010-2011.  Bank with the largest increase profits is the National Commercial Bank (BKT) , with an extension of about 700 million All.

This bank is one of the few in the system that is continuing to grow rapidly even during the difficult years of economic crisis .  The second ranked is another big bank, Intesa San Paolo Bank . This bank has increased profits by 184 million All during 2013 . Other banks recorded lower profits than a year ago. Three commercial banks have a negative balance in the statement of annual profit .
