The biggest value among the loans of other depository corporations by economic activity is marked by those of the services sector. In 2013, loans issued to businesses that provided services accounted for 72% of total loans for all business activities. In the 2007-2013 time frame loans for the agricultural sector increased by 58%, those for industry, energy and construction increased by 102% and the service sector loans increased by 70%.
The lowest growth among the top three sectors appear to have been the one of the agriculture sector. This comes as a result of government subsidies to promote agricultural activity in Kosovo, as well as agricultural loan guarantee scheme supported by USAID.
