Also, based on the share capital, the industry sector results to be the second one because of its specific weights within the total capital of registered joint-stock companies. Thus, the capital of the companies operating in the industry sector amounts to the level of 601,318,993 Euros or 20.8% of the total capital of joint-stock companies registered at the NRC.
Based on the field of activity as declared by joint-stock companies registered at the NRC, the Industry sector can be divided into eight subsectors as follow: industrial and pharmaceutical production; production and processing; agro and food industry; manufacture; garment; energy and gas production; mining and its processing industry; handicraft.

According to the number of joint-stock companies operating in the industry sector, 67.8% of them are concentrated in the subsectors of: industrial and pharmaceutical production (25.1%), production and processing (24%) and mining and its processing industry (18.7%).

On the other side, the distribution of capital through subsectors is a little bit different where 82.1% of industrial capital is concentrated on the subsectors of: production and processing (37.4%), energy and gas production (33.7%) and industrial and pharmaceutical production (11.0%).
