According to data extracted from data base of the Institute of Statistics in the Enterprises Register section, the gender ratio in the administration of active enterprises has changed that is the female gender weight has been slightly increased even during 2013 and 2014.

In 2012, enterprises headed by females accounted for only 27.4%, in 2013 this rate amounted to 27.8%, in 2014 to 28.5% or 32 073 female administrators or owners. There is an increase of only 1.1% of women leaders of enterprises in the Republic of Albania during a period of two years. The leadership in non-profit organizations in 2014 was divided into 722 women and 1,656 men.
Woman is also considered from another angle that is as a head of a firm by number of employees under her subordination.

Small enterprises with 1-4 employees have the largest number and weight of female administrators and owners. In these enterprises their number increased by 1% in the past two years, while in large enterprises of over fifty employees female administrators marked only 16.1% of cases in 2014, i.e. 1.6% more than in 2012.
