In  2010, he total amount of electricity produced ran at 7 702,478 MWh, marking so the greatest amount of electricity produced compared with other years. The amount produced by the private and the concessionaire sectors has grown 22 times in eight years.

Only in the past two years, 2013-2014, the amount produced by the public sector has fallen by 45% as a result of a growth in the number of production companies associated with the network of electricity distribution and the privatization of public hydro- powers stations.
