Ranking of shareholders and holding partners by the values of their capital in Media BusinessCompanies, November 2015

Open Data Albania is collecting data on the value of the quotas, or shares in audiovisual media by their holders. The figures are based on information published by the National Registration Center, NRC, where each business is obliged to reveal such data. The information is an overview of the situation until November 2015.

Audio Visual Media are called all those business companies which exercise their activity in the business of audio (radio)broadcasting or visualbroadcasting (television), including even digital transmission platforms.

The total capital of 202 entities, which are audiovisual associations, amounts to ALL  5,963,340,610. Out of this total,ALL 5,596,374,875 belong to individual shareholders, or partners. While ALL 366,965,735 are owned fromthose partners or shareholders, who arelegal entities at another business company.

In case all the list of the shareholdersis observed, it will be seen that two shareholders of TV Klan Alba Gina and Alexander Frangajstand at the top of the list. Each of them owns shares amounting to ALL 493.6 million, or 8.28% of the total of share capital.

The list is followed by Tring TV shareholder, Ridvana Dulaku, with a capital worth ALL 340 million, or 5.70 per cent of the overall capital of televisions and 6.07 per cent compared to that of the individuals. Then comes other shareholders of Tring TV, Holta Dulaku and Melina Dulaku with a capital worth ALL 330, or 5.53 per cent of the overall capital and 5.89 percent in relation to that of the individuals.

While members of Hoxha family, the legal heirs of the founder of Top Channel possess ALL 65476 744.4 each and their joint total amount of capital is ALL 327,383,722. The latter possess the value of shares in two media companies Top Channel and Digit-Alb and have together the majority of the shares.

Meantime, the legal heirs of the founder of Top Channel and  Digit-Albare shareholders in more than one audiovisual company, namely in two media companies, Top Channel and Digit-Alband Ylli Ndroqi is the shareholder in two media companies ORA and CHANNEL ONE.

In terms of capital value owned by legal entities in audiovisual media companies, “ABCOM“,is the leader, which is a shareholder of KRUJA TV and Star TV, with a total value of equity ALL 23,985,550, or 0.4 percent of the overall capital of televisions and 6.54 of the legal persons capial.

Then comes DEM Capital and E & E INVESTMENT, shareholdesr in DIGIT ALB, with a capital of ALL 23,007,600, or 0.38 per cent of the overall capital of televisions and 6.27 percent in relation to the capital of legal persons.
