Open Data Albania is publishing the rankings in Global Terrorism Index. The data concerning a period from 2006 up to 2014 are based on ratings of the Institute of Economics and Peace. The index measures and evaluates the direct and indirect impact of terrorist events, including victims, injuries, material damages and psychological effects they are triggering.

The indicator shows only the current impact of terrorism on these countries and does not measure the risk of terrorism in the future. Rating escalates from zero to ten, where higher values indicate higher impacts and sensitivity to terrorist acts. In 2014, Terrorism Index for Albania amounted to 12.2, one of the highest rates during a period of ten years.

In 2014, India was ranked the first in the Global Terrorism Index with a rate of 7.75, followed by China with 6.29 and the United States with 4.61. India seems to have maintained this high level in Global Terrorism Index, since in 2010 this rate amounted to 8.09. In these nine years, India has kept the same ranking in terms of Global Terrorism Index. But it is interesting that Korea and UAE have a 0 rate of sensitivity in this index.
