The data presented in the research were obtained from the National Business Center (NBC) and include only statistics concerning companies &nbsp;equipped with a Media License and an active NIPT. The numbers are presented in a well-structured format in the Open Corporates Albania database, in the <a href=\"https:\/\/opencorporates.al\/sq\/companytv\">media business<\/a> category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Out of <a href=\"http:\/\/ama.gov.al\/subjekte-audiovizive\/\">51 companies<\/a> licensed as audiovisual media, only 36 of them possess a license and an active NIPT as of March 1, 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe width=\"717\" height=\"938\" seamless=\"\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"yes\" src=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/spreadsheets\/d\/e\/2PACX-1vS4QJS5QxUfoNLXppw28SL6ZzXg7ujuul07D0_m5fOiouZa0-dtT669qqs0FNjehjQprYdCtDPink1y\/pubchart?oid=710965976&amp;format=interactive\"><\/iframe>\n<br>\n<p style=\"font-size: 11px;\"><small><br>\n<b>Table:<\/b> Active entities licensed by the AMA as Audiovisual Media <br>\nSource: NBC, <a href=\"https:\/\/opencorporates.al\/en\">Open Corporates<\/a> <br>\nComments and Analyses: Open Data Albania <\/small><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The research shows that, regarding the year 2021, the total income for 25 Audiovisual medias &#8211; that have reported financial statements &#8211; &nbsp;is about ALL 10.4 billion combined. During 2020, which also coincides with the beginning of the pandemic, the total income for the same medias was fixed at ALL 9.7 billion. Therefore, in the span of one year, the turnover of the market in question has increased by a full 7.05 %.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As for the Profit after Tax made by these media organizations, it has resulted in a negative figure (loss), which is even higher than the combined profit made by them in &nbsp;2021; whereas, in 2020 the comined profit was declared in the amount of ALL 423,160,095 (four hundred and twenty three million one hundred sixty thousand ninety five).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe width=\"681\" height=\"358\" seamless=\"\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"yes\" src=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/spreadsheets\/d\/e\/2PACX-1vS4QJS5QxUfoNLXppw28SL6ZzXg7ujuul07D0_m5fOiouZa0-dtT669qqs0FNjehjQprYdCtDPink1y\/pubchart?oid=453899455&amp;format=interactive\"><\/iframe>\n<br>\n<p style=\"font-size: 11px;\"><small><br>\nSource:  <br>\nComments and Analyses: Open Data Albania <\/small><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/opencorporates.al\/sq\/nipt\/K41719004D\">Digitalb<\/a> scored the highest posiotion in terms of income. This media business represents about 40% of revenues in the Audiovisual Media sector, at the very least among the 25 companies that have published their financial statements for 2021. Even during 2020, the company still held the first place, with revenues of about ALL 4.6 billion. In second place comes <a href=\"https:\/\/opencorporates.al\/sq\/nipt\/J71413001L\">Klan<\/a> Television, with around ALL 2 billion in revenues. The company&#8217;s income constitutes 20% of the total income from audiovisual media businesses, and the latter was also ranked second with ALL 1.4 billion income in 2020. Same as last year, positioned in third place stands <a href=\"https:\/\/opencorporates.al\/sq\/nipt\/K12007002U\">Top Channel<\/a> television, which reports about ALL 1.6 billion in revenue for 2021, representing a portion of 15% of the total revenues made by the audiovisual media entities under examination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/opencorporates.al\/sq\/nipt\/L61429018R\">Euro News<\/a>, moving up three places compared to the previous year, its positioned in fourth place, with ALL 410 million revenue for 2021. The first, Klan television, takes up the top spot with a reported profit of about ALL 191 million, which comprises a profit margin of 9.4% when against revenue. Meanwhile, in second place, Top Channel declared a profit in the amount of ALL 169 million in 2021, resulting in a higher profit margin, of 10.6%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An even higher profit margin, 34%, compared to their respective revenue for 2021 was reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/opencorporates.al\/sq\/nipt\/L51817008H\">Report Tv<\/a>, which scored the third place, with ALL 115 milion profit, based on the earnings made by media companies.
