The labor force refers to the share of the working age population (in Albania from 16 years old to retirement) who are either in a job or actively looking for one.<p><\/p>\n<p>Data by gender concerning the unemployment rate give the distribution between the unemployed men and women taking part in the labor force. According to these data, in 2009 the unemployment rate among women is 15.9%, while among men only 12.2%.
