These kinds of transfers are among the components of the current account in the balance of payments.<p><\/p>\n<p>Open Data Albania has conducted a research work on the level of remittances in the recent years in Albania and Kosovo. Even though in absolute terms the level of remittances in Albania is higher than in Kosovo, given the fact that the number of emigrants varies, it seems that the level of remittances in Kosovo compared to the number of emigrants is higher than in Albania.<\/p>\n<p>Although the trend of remittances in Albania and Kosovo is similar, especially after the financial crisis of 2008-2009, it can be noticed that the remittances growth rate has fallen more significantly in Albania.
