The research is based on the official data of the Bank of Albania. The fixing is the official exchange rate of some foreign currencies against the Albanian lek, which is represented by a single value, and published by the Bank of Albania. Throughout 2013 the dollar has had the greatest fluctuation, marking the lowest value in October where a dollar was exchanged with 103.27 lek, and the highest value in May, when a dollar was exchanged with 108.56 ALL. While the euro, has been more stable.
