According to SSA, during this year, 16 penal denunciations were issued against Central Institutions. But Local Institutions have the highest number of penal denunciations where 21 cases for 87 officials are denounced.

The highest economic damage amounting to ALL 67 billion is caused by the Ministry of Energy and Industry and the State Attorney’s Office. On 12.10.2015,penal denunciations for abuse of office at these institutions were issued against the Minister of Energy and Industry and the State Advocate General, in her capacity as the Head and Member of the Working Group set up under CMD no. 969, dated 25.10.2013 “On establishment of the working group for the settlement of a dispute between the Albanian government and CEZ a.s?.
According to SSA on 27.03.2015, a penal denunciation was issued against the Secretary General of the Ministry of Education and Sports. This institution marks an economic damage of ALL 108 million and its officials are under investigation for “abuse of office” and “Infringement of equality of participations in public bids or auctions.”
Concerning local institutions, a penal denunciation was issued against Mayor of Memaliaj Municipality (06/30/2015); Major of Kavaja (08/31/2015); Mayor of Patos (08/09/2015); Chairman and former chairman of Perondi Commune in Berat (07/10/2015) etc.
