What is positive is the fact that deaths caused by trauma, accidents, and poisoning has been decreasing, indicating a higher level of safety against risks caused mostly by human behavior. The number of perinatal diseases (among newborns) is increasing. Equally, birth malformations and birth complications have also been increasing in 2018. This indicator shows difficulties with the reproductive health and mother and child care, an indicator which has been negative for the country for years.

The death toll by disease is an interesting and important indicator. It helps understand not only the diseases that pose more danger to the population of a country, but also the problems related to health policies and their efficiency.
