Open Data Albania has updated the data regarding  the funding of  Parties from the government budget for the years 2012 and 2013. The state budget finances through an allocation named ?Political Parties? three different categories,  Political Parties, National Organizations, and Veterans of war organization. This funding for the political parties is not the same with the funding they receive from Central Election Commission. In other words, the annual amount received from this program, is different from the amount received to organize the local or general election.

The bar chart below sets out the amount allocated from the government budget for the ?political parties? program. This program experienced its highest funding in 2011, which stood at 215 million Lek and the lowest one at 185 million Lek in 2003. The funding  increased by 14 % from the minimum point to the maximum point. In 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2012, 2013 remained constant at 200 million Lek.

Comments and analysis: ODA

The funding of the program ?Political parties? was the same in 2012 and 2013 and both were lower than the amount allocated in 2011. This comes as a result in the number of the political parties  as a consequence of the new election system. To conlude, an upward or downward overall trend is not evident.
