Holders of Domestic Debt 2012

Public Domestic Debt Dtock is divided between the Bank of Albania, Raiffeisen Bank, Non-bank institutions and Individuals. Open Data Albania has updated data on Domestic Debt Holders with the 2012 data. Even during 2012 shows a positive trend of increasing the number of participants in the primary market for securities of the Government. More specifically, the trend is towards increasing the share of Non-bank Institutions and especially Individuals.

As in the previous years Banking Sector occupies the main weight 79.43% leaving behind Individuals with 14.48% and Non-banking Sector by 6.09%. This can be seen quite clearly in the following table depicting the weight of each sector as Holders of Domestic Debt:

ODA updates have been focused more on appearance of the year 2012. Therefore, below we present a report to Holders of Domestic Debt for 2012 according the three-month period. Fluctuations in percentage this year are not the biggest of the three month period in three months. The Bank of Albania has an oscillation in the range 11.47% – 14.03%, Raiffeisen Bank from 27.25% to 31.19%, Other Banks 37.02% – 38.89%, Non-banking Sector 4.07% – 7.93% and Individuals from 13.3% to 17.05%. So as a result fluctuations in each sector does not exceed 4%.
