Cases of drunk driving 2004 – 2012

Open Data Albania is exploring on convicted offenders and litigation as a result of drunk driving and without proof of ability. This action is provided by the Criminal Law as a separate section and in total over 9 years, 2,073 people were convicted. Penalizing measures for this offense is punishable by a fine of up to six months imprisonment.

Year with more cases investigated is year 2010, with specifically 438 litigations and also the year with more convicted, 455 convicted persons. Unfortunately, the number of persons investigated is incremental and it shows disrespect to the criteria of safety of life from accidents.
