Open Data Albania has carried out researches on the total number of voters in the voting lists of the last four elections processes during 2009, 2011, 2013 as well as of the last elections process of 21 June 2015. It is observed that the general trend is that the number of citizens in the voting lists from 2009 to 2015, has been increased.

In 2009, the total number of voters in the list was 3,084,946 people, followed by 3,199,554 voters in 2011 and 3,274,255 voters in June 23, 2013 elections. In 2015, the number of voters on the official list was 3,372,471, a figure which was generated from the database of the Central Election Commission.

In 2015 versus 2013, the number of voters in Tirana region has been increased by 3.97%. Kukes is the region with the lowest number of voters.  The region with the largest increase in the number of voters from 2013 elections up to 2015 election is Durres with an increasing rate of 5.57%.

From 2013 to 2015, the number of voters was reduced in some regions. Gjirokastra region has undergone a reduction in the number of voters compared to 2013 process, where this number has shrunk by 0.11%.
