In 2014, PECA reports about 3,359,654 active mobile phone users, out of whom 1,549,498 are users of Vodafone Albania, 1,117,070 of AMC, 431,772 are Eagle Mobile users and 261,314 are users of Plus Communication.
The four mobile telephone operators claimed that their total revenues amounted to ALL 32.3 billion, out of which ALL 15.3 billion were generated by Vodafone, ALL 11.2 billion from AMC, ALL 4 billion by Eagle Mobile and 1.8 billion from Plus Communication.

In the span of eleven years 2004-2014, the number of active mobile phone users has tripled. During the last two years, 2013-2014, the number of active users has been shrink. In 2014, mobile telephony was used by 326,329 people less than a year ago. In 2009, the number of mobile phone users amounted to 4.18 million, recording so the greatest number of users compared with other years.

The situation of revenues reported during these years seems to have changed constantly. In 2008, the revenues reached their climax amounting to a total of ALL 49 billion out of which ALL 25 billion were revenues generated by Vodafone and ALL 23.5 billion by AMC. From these two leading operators that provide mobile telephony, the situation regarding the number of users appeared in favor of AMC during 2004-2010, but it was changed in favor of Vodafone in the coming years.

Spending Data Albania Portal reports through Treasury Transactions application that the highest number and value of public transactions are carried out in favor of Albtelekom and Eagle Mobile operators. In 2014, this operator carried out 10,241 public transactions out of a total of 13,883. These transactions amounted to ALL 542,224,607 out of an amount of ALL 643,925,210 in public transactions of the four telephone operators taken together. This indicates the preferences of budgetary institutions and their employees while selecting (without tender) their providing operators.

An indicator which evaluates somehow telecommunication tariff change is indicative ARPM (average revenue per minute). In the years 2010-2014, this indicator in our country has been decreasing. Out of ALL 6.49 per minute recorded in 2010, the average revenue per minute has dropped to ALL 2.63 per minute in 2014.

The number of fixed telephone subscribers has declined over the years. In 2014, out of 247,070 fixed telephone subscribers in total, 182,591 are users of Albtelecom. 102,144 fixed telephone subscribers are in Tirana region, leaving behind Korca region with 24,470 subscribers, Vlora region with 23,291 subscribers and that of Durres with 19,113 subscribers etc.
