Other important countries with regard to FDI are Switzerland (14%), Germany, and Albania (7%) etc. Interestingly, for Greece and Netherlands were presented negative values of FDI for 2013 which shows that in 2013 there were investor who previously had investments in Kosovo that have shifted investment to these countries.

Over the years the situation of FDI by country of origin has changed. In 2007 and 2011, most of FDI originated from the UK with a value of 116.16 and 80.1 million Euros. In 2008 FDI were coming mostly from Austria with a value of 51.3 million euros.
Germany is the country of origin of most FDI for 2009 and 2010. During these years this country has invested in Kosovo respectively 75.15 and 91.54 million euros. For the last two years of the period taken under consideration, 2012-2013, Open Data Albania finds out that the country that has invested more in the state of Kosovo is Turkey. In 2012, FDI from this country marked the value of 65.55 million euros and a year later 82.73 million.

On 31 March 2014 the FDI situation in Kosovo is presented as follows: with European Union countries are carried 962.83 million euros of Incoming Direct Investment and 53.81 million outgoing Direct Investment; with other European countries there are 534.32 million euros of Incoming FDI and 75.4 of outgoing – Investments and with other non-European countries there are 111.31 million euros of FDI incoming and 11.41 of outgoing FDI.

On the 31th of March 2014 the total situation of foreign direct investment marks 2.8 billion of incoming investment and 141 million euros of outgoing investments.
