Open Data Albania is publishing data on the level of (compulsory) vaccination coverage for children by disease. This indicator is published by the Institute of Public Health. The indicator is provided in percentage, showing defects of 2020 as a year affected by the lockdown situation, with movement being more difficult due to the pandemic. It is two vaccines for children for which in 2020 there was a decrease in vaccination coverage. Thus, the Children Vaccination for Tuberculosis dropped from 98.9% in 2019 to 97.9%. The regression is even deeper in another mandatory and important public health vaccine, such as the one for Measles-Rubella-Mumps group. This vaccine has dropped from 95% to 91% a year ago. The 4% decrease marks a problematic moment in terms of health safety and further public confidence in the vaccination process. Measles is a disease which still has a vulnerability level in the country among infectious diseases.
